IMA Award 2005

The IMA Award 2005, which was presented at the trade fair Access, was handed over to Peter Baierl, Executive Director of the European Congress of Radiology. The European congress of Radiology (ECR) took place for the first time in Vienna in 1991 (in a two-year rhythm) – and is held in Vienna on a yearly basis since 1999, with a constantly growing number of participants.

Peter Baierl was considerably involved to bring this important congress to Vienna and organize it in our capital on an annual basis. The ECR, with approximately 16,000 experts and specialized visitors from 92 countries, generates approximately 30 million Euro of value in Vienna and, therefore, ranks among the most important congresses in Austria. Numerous companies of the fair and event industry are active for this congress.
