IFES ANNUAL MEETING brings together industry-leading companies from 23 countries
Convention and AGM held from 15-17 June in Oxford, England

IFES welcomed over 70 international members and delegates from all regions of the globe including UK, Nigeria, Mexico, Canada, and China. Delegates learned about economic and environmental trends in the UK, Germany, South Africa, and BRIC, and their short-term and long-term impact. These two themes will also serve as the foundation for future annual meetings in 2012 and 2013 to take place in Moscow and Cape Town respectively. In addition, members took part in several networking opportunities throughout the programme and connected with potential partners face to face and gained knowledge about entering new markets.

I.M.Austria was represented by 3 persons: General Secretary Birgit Hölzl-Zech, Leslie P.C.Zech - Past President of IFES and I.M.Austria - and Thomas Wasshuber, Member of the Board.
Leslie P.C. Zech gave an outlook on next year’s convention to be held at Expocentr Moscow in co-operation with the trade fair 5pExpo and the International Forum for Exhibition Industry.
Birgit Hölzl-Zech, Chairwoman of the National Associations Committee within IFES, presented the activities of the commitee which aim at strengthening co-operation and exchange of informations within the national member associations.

The delegates also enjoyed a photo shoot held in the Exhibition area in which oversized versions of some new items from the Orgatech stock were brought in.

IFES is the international umbrella federation for all national/country associations whose member-companies are active in the exhibition-services- and event-marketing-sector. The purpose of IFES is to promote the commercial, professional and socio-political interests of its country member associations on an international level.
