I.M. Austria strengthens its position within IFES
Its Secretary General to head new Committee of National Associations

Mrs Birgit Hölzl-Zech, the long-standing Secretary General of I.M. Austria, has been appointed by the IFES Presidium as chairperson of the Committee of National Associations.
Thus the position of our association within the international umbrella organization will be further strengthened – I.M. Austria’s past president Leslie P.C. Zech has for some years been chairman of the IFES Membership Committee, which is responsible for the admission of new members.
The newly established committee will be presented to the public at the next IFES General Assembly during the IFES Convention 2010 in Shanghai. Immediately thereafter, Birgit Hölzl-Zech and her team will take up her work with the following preliminary working programme:

• Exchange projects of the national associations: by continuously informing the other associations about what has everybody been doing for their members and for publicity, they can gain new ideas and base them upon the other associations’ experiences.

• Exchange information on important changes of the market (eg. concerning education) in order to get ideas for additional member services/publicity projects and serve our association members better,

• Exchange press news

• Possible first working project of the Committee of National Associations: elaborating a list of all tax authorities who are responsible for special international issues (esp. mounting an exhibition stand abroad). By that, our member companies could much easier fulfil the new V.A.T-laws for EU companies.
