5p EXPO and International Forum of Exhibition Industry, Moscow, July 4-6 – Retrospective

The 5p EXPO and International Forum of Exhibition Industry were organized by Expoconsta – new member of IFES - and took place in the Expocentr Moscow (international exhibition center of Moscow). Worldwide Organizers, Exhibition Architects and other experts of the Industry from Russia, neighbouring countries, Asia and Europe met at this excellent exhibition in Moscow.

The opening ceremony, the following press conference, the business lunch – invited to by the General Director Malkevich, Expocentr, as well as the complete organisation of the 5p Expo and the International Forum of the Exhibition Industry were managed very professionally and resulted in many new connections and contacts.

The IFES delegates Leslie P.C. Zech, Chairman for Membership Development, met with the incoming UFI-President Cliff Wallace for strengthening the cooperation between IFES and UFI. Leslie P.C. Zech and Cliff Wallace were the VIP-speakers for the opening ceremony as well as the following press conference.

The future development of 5p EXPO, the global industry and the Russian Market as well as cooperations with European companies were the key issues of many meetings.

Several companies of the Russian Exhibition industry showed their interest in becoming IFES members.

During a guided tour through the Exhibition Center Moscow by Alexander Volodin/Expoconsta Moreno Zaccarelli/IFES Vice-President and Leslie P.C. Zech got a good overview on the present 120.000 m² halls as well as the planned extensions up to 200.000 m² till 2010.
